The day started early, everyone meeting at DLC
on a freezing, frosty, December morning.
A group of our young artists and staff were off on a cultural trip to have a look at some of the Art and the sights of London.
For a few it was their first visit to the capital, the day consisted of a tour of Tate Britain with a short ferry trip down the Thames to the Tate Modern.
For some the trip opened their eyes to new things, the Rothko exhibition was a real sensation for Ellie (and Tom), while Hannah seemed more impressed by the Gherkin building, which resembled a pen lid of course!
On the Mini bus drive home we stopped for tea all sitting around the table sharing memories of the day and a KFC!
We all had a very entertaining day arriving home at 8.30pm.
Well done to all the staff and students involved, it was an all round successful trip!
